Our Story

Founded in 2022 and officially launched on 1st December 2025, KM.X was born from a shift, a quieter chapter shaped by movement, travel, and the spaces in between.

Created by founder Kate McLaren as she stepped away from life as a professional athlete, KM.X reflects a desire for ease, freedom, and clothing that feels natural to live in. Pieces designed to move effortlessly between water and land, city and nature, day and night.

The concept first took shape in Los Angeles, evolving through continued travel, most notably Bali, a place synonymous with creativity, spirituality, and a slower rhythm of life. These influences are woven into every collection, designed for moments that don’t need definition: poolside afternoons, sauna and steam rituals, barefoot mornings, long flights, and soft landings in unfamiliar places.
